Philippines with the Family | Summer Holidays

Classy Frontiers is proud to present you a discovery trip to the Philippines: spend 3 nights in Manila to fully enjoy the vibe of this old city that mixes old Hispanic style churches to high rises and shopaholic-perfect malls; then fly to the white, sandy beaches of Boracay for 7 days of relax and understated luxury. Even better, all of this comes with special price and benefits this summer!

Manila intramurosManila, capital of the Philippines, is a huge metropolitan area, a sum of 5 cities and 10 towns. The city is full of history and this is evident in the ruins that still stand from the original capital of the Spanish East Indies, Intramuros, which was founded in 1571 and is still located on the south bank of the Pasig River. The surrounding area is full of performing venues, art galleries, shops and restaurants, making it a popular tourist Mecca. History buffs will love the National Museum which exhibits sunken treasure from one of the Manila galleons dating back to 1600, or the Ayala Museum that educates visitors on the history of the Philippines. The Malacanang Palace - the residence of the Head of State - is also worth a visit, while the American Cemetery and Memorial honors those who died during WWII and it's a peaceful retreat from the buzz of the city. The Sunset in Manila is an attraction in itself: savour it on one of the swish terrace bars by the bay or while dining in a tropical al fresco setting. Manila is home to one of the largest malls in Asia, one that would be right at home in any large American city. It is the everything mall with many of the big name anchor stores, the first IMAX in the Philippines, an Olympic-sized ice skating rink, a plethora of food outlets, and enough shopping opportunities to keep any shopaholic happy: SM Mall of Asia. Get on your shopping spree in Makati area, where you can chose between the Ayala Center and the Green Belt shopping complex.

Manila city tour

Manila City TourFew days in Manila will give you the chance to have a nice peek into the best the city offers. Wander among the streets of Intramuros, an European-style medieval fortified city that functioned as the seat of the Spanish government from 1571 to Manila Ocean Park1898 (Intramuros means inside the walls). Sadly, the whole city was razed to the ground by bombings conducted by American forces when they recaptured Manila from the Japanese in 1945. Today most of the walls, gates and bulwarks have been restored, affording visitors a glimpse into the past. You will start with an introduction to Manila's historical sites including the "Walled City" Intramuros, Luneta Park with the famous Rizal monument.  Then you proceed to the fascinating National Museum of the Philippines, and finally to some Philippine heritage at the Cultural Center of Philippines complex. Visit the Coconut Palace to view the controversial home built by president Marcos for Pope John Paul II visit. The Pope refused to stay there preferring more modest accommodations. Then onto the newly opened Ocean Park aquarium with a large variety of sea creatures. If you like we will then take you to one of the largest shopping malls in the world - the Mall of Asia.
We will finally wrap up your tour with a sunset boat ride on the famous Manila Bay (optional dinner cruise available). Inclusive of entrance fees and Manila Bay boat ride.

Philippines wonders near Manila: Tagaytay

TagaytayTagaytay is a small countryside city at less than one hour from Manila international airport, blessed by wonderful scenery and with the quite amazing Taal Volcano: a volcano inside a lake that has a lake in its cater. Tagaytay is a lovely spot of Pilipino countryside culture which reminds a bit the western hillside lifestyle where food, wine and pleasant walks for local sightseeing are the main activities to do. It still remains unknown by most foreign tourists, but once you are there you will certainly discover an amazing wonder of nature. Chose if walking up the crater of volcano or ride on a horse back, an experience beloved by children. On the way to Tagaytay and Taal Volcano you will visit the famous Bamboo Organ in Las Pinas, and then Picnic Groove lookout for some spectacular views of the volcano you will shortly ascend. After the Volcano trek you will be toured around Tagaytay and visit such places as People's Park in the Sky and Paradise Zoo.

Boracay activities

Sailing in BoracayThere's a beautiful privately owned Sailing Yacht named Mahal (meaning Love) in Boracay that is dedicated to vacationers who want to live an unforgettable Luxury Sailing Experience of the surrounding seas and crystal blue waters of Boracay. Both American Sailing Association certified sailors, owners Steve and Lilyan will take you on a voyage of discovery and exploration on their fantastic 42ft Fountaine Pajot Catamaran, indulging you in a truly customized and private cruising journey in Boracay.

This is a day on the water for all the family with lots of fun and great snorkeling. The tour comfortably starts at 10 a.m. and it will end at 3 p.m., as the catamaran will be on a sunset tour later.

Feel free to join the sunset tour too (an extra cost will be charged); but consider that children don't enjoy the sunset tour as much: this is more of a romantic experience for couples, centered around enjoying the colors of the sunset and the sea while having a nice drink.
