The Similan Islands are a group of 9 islands located about 50 Kilometres west of Khao Lak, in the middle of the blue tropical Andaman Sea. Not as easily accessible from the mainland as other islands, the Similans have been spared by mass tourism and boost the clearest water of the country. In fact they are rated among the top 10 spots worldwide for diving and snorkelling.
National Marine Park since 1982, the Similans are well known for their white coral sand beaches, crystal blue waters, warm tropical nights and cooling breezes coming off the Andaman Sea. Boats entering this area follow strict rules imposed and controlled by the national park officials to preserve the ecosystem and avoid pollution.
The Similans are really a diving and snorkelling paradise: you can swim with Manta Rays, surrounded by Clownfishes; you can try competing with dolphins or sea-turtles; you can admire the colourful coral reefs of this area while having the incredible opportunity to see rare marine species.
They are a suitable place for all ages and visitors: from honeymooners to families, to group of friends and independent travellers we can arrange for you luxury yacht, sailing boats, private tours and all the arrangements to relax and enjoy at the best the natural beauty of this area accordingly to your preferences and tastes.
Beside diving and snorkelling, the Similans are blessed with some of the best white beaches and tropical forests of South-East Asia: sunbath between a dive and the other or follow one of the several hiking and trekking trails on island #4 (koh Miang) and # 8 (koh Similan).
Depending from the sailing pier it can take 3 to 6 hours to get there. We suggest a 2 days trip as the shortest tour to visit this destination but can arrange longer live-a-board trips for dive lovers and travellers who enjoy holidays on board.
Our speedboats are all well equipped for staying overnight, all the better since there are no high standard accommodations on any of the islands. For longer tours, our sailboats and yacht can host discerning travellers thanks to their top-notch accommodation standards.
